National executive leadership

Joshua Robert is an M.D./M.Eng. candidate at Texas A&M's School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed) and graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in computer science as a Craig & Galen Brown Scholar. As President of Sling Health, he leads the national network's strategy, chapter growth, and partnerships connecting clinical problems with student-led ventures. He is also the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Director of AI/Data at MD+, and conducts translational research at Baylor College of Medicine. His experience spans clinical AI engineering, medical data systems, cardiovascular research at Houston Methodist, and founding AnalyticAI, an NSF-supported medical imaging startup shaped by more than 150 customer discovery interviews.

Fouzul Kansul is an M.D./M.Eng. candidate at Texas A&M's School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed) and earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University. Before becoming Sling Health's national Vice President, she served as chapter treasurer and director of community engagement and partnerships. Her research at Houston Methodist on sex-based differences in peripheral artery disease has contributed to peer-reviewed publications. She also conducted optical biosensing research at Texas A&M and worked at Medtronic on bio-based polymers and implantable sensor development. She brings experience across engineering, cardiovascular research, and entrepreneurship to Sling Health's national partnerships and medical innovation efforts.

Diana Salha is the Co-Founder and CEO of Cosnetix, a wellness technology startup leveraging AI, genetics, and skin microbiome data to deliver personalized skincare recommendations. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in Health Care Management at Yale University. Alongside her entrepreneurial work, Diana is actively involved in venture capital as a VC Fellow at Heuristic Capital, an Associate at Yale Ventures HealthTech Works, and a Venture Associate at the Future of Health Innovation Hub. Her work reflects her passion for advancing healthcare innovation through entrepreneurship and investment.

Zachary Carter is a medical student and researcher at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans (LSUHSC). He has extensive experience within Sling Health, previously serving as the National Board Representative and Demo Day Coordinator for the LSU chapter. As Co-Vice President of Chapter Development, he coordinates chapter operations, onboarding, and growth strategies to expand student-led medical innovation across campuses nationwide.

Eshaan is a sophomore at UT Austin, double majoring in the Canfield Business Honors Program and Human Biology. Along with serving as the Sling chapter president at UT, he is pursuing his interests in healthcare policy and biostatistics. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and watching football.

Gabriel is a senior medical student at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has a background in Nanosystems Engineering and previously competed as a Sling Health Demo Day Finalist.

Samantha (Sam) Mallahan is a second-year medical student at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. She graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in biomedical engineering and spent two gap years as a data analyst on the clinical trials team at Tempus AI, a precision-oncology AI company. Ever since working at Fogarty Innovation, a med-tech incubator, in college, she has been drawn to the intersection of medicine and technology and aspires to become a physician-innovator. She is especially passionate about oncology, women’s health/FemTech, and global health.

Joshua Wu is an MD-PhD candidate at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Born in Taiwan and raised in Vancouver, Canada, his research interests include molecular neuroscience and neurodegeneration. Outside of clinic and lab, he enjoys sports, particularly golf and ultimate frisbee.

Gaurish is a student at WashU studying mechanical engineering, with plans to pursue a career in medicine. He enjoys building ideas that support people’s recovery and help them live more independently. At Sling, he is especially interested in making healthcare solutions more accessible to patients and helping more students from different backgrounds take part in developing them.

Mishika Bhatia is a researcher, EMT, and student at the University of Michigan studying Pharmaceutical Sciences and Business. Her background spans reproductive science, PCOS/PMOS, pediatric surgery, translational medicine, STEM equity, and biotechnology and healthcare venture capital.

Shaan Pannu is a medical student at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and has experience in healthcare, research, and organizational finance. Through his work with Sling Health, he is interested in the intersection of medicine, technology, and entrepreneurship, particularly in how innovation can help translate promising ideas into meaningful improvements in patient care.

Vishaka Bhora is a Biomedical Engineering student and Craig & Galen Brown Scholar at Texas A&M University. She previously served as the Vice President External for Sling Health TAMU and has conducted research at Stanford University. As Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships, she leads national sponsor relationships, industry engagement, and external development initiatives to support collegiate healthcare ventures across the Sling network.

Christien is pursuing a joint B.S. in Business and Computer Science and M.S. in AI for Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He has product experience at Microsoft on the Copilot Studio team, and at JPMorgan Chase on the connected banking team. He is joining Sling Health as Vice President of Information Technology and will build out the tech stack for Sling Health and its affiliated companies.
